The new Disabled Access

Mike Brokenshire MBE Life Vice President of the Branch, presenting Ena Day with a Lapel Badge that Central Council have recently issued to all recipients of the "National President's Certificate". The National President's Certificate, the highest accolade the Royal Air Forces Association can bestow on its members was awarded jointly to Ena and her husband Ron, the only time this prestigious award has been presented to a husband and wife team.

Ron and Ena received this Certificate for the many years they were both very active members of the Swindon Branch Joint Committee and especially for the enormous amount, running into tens of thousands of pounds, they have collected for "Wings" during this period. Although Ron is no longer with us Ena explained he did know of the award before he died and he was extremely pleased and proud to be honoured in this way. Ena is still very active, she is also a Life Vice President of the Swindon Branch and is currently President of the Witshire Regional Committee and still raises a great deal of money for our Charity.
